"Clockwork Angel" ist der erste Teil der Prequeltriologie zu "The Mortal Instruments". Und worum geht es da?Im Viktorianischen Zeitalter muss die 16-jährige Theresa "Tessa" Gray eine Menge lernen. Nach dem Tod ihrer Tante soll sie eigentlich bei ihrem Bruder in London leben. Doch anstatt ihres Bruder, erwarten zwei merkwürdige Damen, die "Dunklen Schwestern" die New Yorkerin und halten Tessa gefangen. Denn Tessa hat eine besondere Gabe: Sie hat die Fähigkeit ihre Gestalt, ihr Aussehen zu verändern. Es kommt noch schlimmer, als der geheimnisvolle Magister plant sich Tessa anzunehmen. Rettung ereilt das Mädchen in Form des Schattenjägers William "Will" Herondale. Er bringt Tessa in das Institut der Schattenjäger. Dort lernt sie, dass unter den Menschen auch Vampire, Werwölfe, Warlocks und Feen existieren - und vor allem, dass sie selbst kein Mensch ist. Doch neben der Antwort auf die Frage, WAS genau Tessa nun eigentlich ist, muss sie herausfinden, was mit ihrem Bruder passiert ist und ob er überhaupt noch lebt. Auch hinter den Türen des Institutes gibt es zahlreiche Geheimnisse, dessen Bewohner betreffend.Ich war mir zuerst unschlüssig, ob ich die Geschichte wirklich lesen möchte, denn obwohl ich ein großer Fan von der "Mortal Instruments"-Reihe bin, dachte ich zuerst, es wäre vermutlich nur ein Abklatsch davon. Erste Beschreibungen gaben erstmal Anlass dazu: Junges Mädchen, das eigentlich zur Schattenwelt gehört, bisher aber nichts davon wusste, von einem geheimnisvollen, gutaussehenden Typen gerettet wird und noch dazu nach einem verschwundenen Familienmitglied sucht. Das kannte ich schon.ABER! Auch wenn es Gemeinsamkeiten zu den Charakteren aus "Mortal Instruments" gibt, so sind diese nicht groß genug um von einem Abklatsch zu sprechen.Will Herondale ist, wie der Name schon vermuten lässt, eine viktorianische Ausgabe von Jace (scheint im Blut zu liegen). Dessen arroganten Sprüche und die obercoole, unnahbare Art muss man also nicht vermissen. Dennoch ist Will um einiges skrupelloser als Jace, focusierter und abweisender.Tessa Gray ist für die damalige Zeit sehr selbstständig. Obwohl sie stets darauf bedacht ist, nicht unhöflich zu sein, lässt sie sich bei weitem nicht alles gefallen. Sie ist alles andere als begeistert von ihrer Gabe, lernt jedoch schnell diese gezielt einzusetzen. Sie wird von ihrer Hoffnung getrieben, ihren Bruder wiederzufinden.Auch die anderen Charaktere erwecken schnell Sympathie. Die angedeutete Dreiecksgeschichte zwischen Tessa, Will und dessen besten Freund Jem, macht schon Freude auf die anderen Teile. Es ist immer wieder lustig bekannte Namen wie Lightwood oder Wayland zu lesen. Das zieht natürlich den Bogen zu "The Mortal Instruments". Auch war es mir eine große Freude wieder von Magnus Bane und Camille zu lesen, die auch in diesen Büchern bereits vorkommen und ihren Charme spielen lassen.Alles in allem ist "Clockwork Angel" ein wunderbares, fesselndes Buch, das großen Hunger auf die folgenden Bücher macht. Die Charaktere sind bekannte und doch neue Gesichter, die durch ihre Stärken und auch Schwächen die Sympathie des Lesers auf sich ziehen. Absolut empfehlenswert!!!

truly I didn't get bored while reading. It's a sweet and compelling story which is of course quite similar to the first trilogy. That shouldn't be so surprising, after all its a prequel !!! I liked Mrs Clares' writing and think she has improved her stile...the feeling was not as authentic as it had been in NYC, I give the critics that, but still is was there, the Victorian atmosphere, it was in her verbs, in the kind of writing and of course also in the acting ( eventually it was more appropriate for this era, than it was in the present time novellas...thats why may be some of the critic mixed it up... it was in a nice way antiquated in our days...) Will is somehow like a young Oscar Wilde, very enfant terrible and so I found him more real than Jace for that part. Tess is sweet and innocent, which is lovely... so all in all the characters in this book are chosen good, with one exception; Jess, really she made me wish to beat at least a minimum of sense or pity into that selfish her, but as "bad guy" she is written with delight, though I suppose the story would work without her, too. May be that will come to change in the next part of the books.The story is with a good share of suspense and secrets, almost every one seems to have. Nate as Tess' brother was an egg... my gosh! The twist ( no spoiler...) was not totally surprising, but good presented...So all in all a very promising, good start to that new series of the shadow hunters. Looking forward to see how things are about to develop!

Und außerdem begegnet sie Wills recht interessantem Bruder Jem. Gemeinsam machen sich die drei auf die Suche nach Nathanel.Mir hat das Buch sehr gut gefallen und ich kann es daher mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen.Vor allem an jenen, die von Cassandra Clare's Chroniken der Unterwelt - The Mortal Instruments" Reihe schon so begeistert waren wie ich.Schon nach kurzer Zeit war ich auf ein Neues vollkommen in der Welt der Schattenjäger verloren.Cassandra Clare hat mich mit ihrer neuen Serie ein weiteres Mal überzeugt. Vor allem mit dem 2. Band "Clockwork Prince", in welchem die Liebesgeschichte erst so richtig in Schwung kommt.

Für das Thema Selbstmord ist das Buch gut aufbereitet.Ich weiß jedoch nicht, ob man Kinder in der Pupertät mit dem Thema konfrontieren sollte,wenn es im Lebensumfeld des Kindes gerade kein Thema ist.

Ich bin ein großer Fan von Irina Korschunow und kenne sowohl schlechtere wie auch bessere Bücher von ihr.„Die Sache mit Christoph“ ist nicht nur Christophs Geschichte, sondern vorrangig die von seinem Freund Martin, der Christoph immer bewundert hatte. Martin versucht den Tod Christophs aufzuklären. War es ein Unfall?Martin führt Gespräche mit Lehrern, Schülern und Menschen, die Christoph kennen. Er stellt fest, wie unterschiedlich man seinen Freund sehen kann und vor allem, wie er sich seit Christophs Tod von ihm entfernt hat und ein eigenständiger Mensch geworden ist.Dieses Jugendbuch regt zum Nachdenken an. Es ist das perfekte Buch für eine Klassenlektüre, weil jeder einzelne Leser es anders interpretieren wird. Diskussionen sind hier vorprogrammiert…

Christoph ist tot, und alle sind schockiert. Der 17-Jährige starb bei einem Fahrradunfall.Aber war es ein Unfall? Martin zweifelt daran.Christoph hatte nur wenige Freunde, und Martin war einer davon. Er weiß, dass es nicht immer leicht war mit Christoph. Dass er sich nur schwer gegen die Lehrer behaupten konnte, dass er sich zurückzog, dass er zweifelte, dass er weg wollte.Martin erinnert sich an Christoph und versucht zu rekapitulieren, was eigentlich in den vergangenen Monaten passiert ist. Und wie verlogen doch einige Leute sind - jetzt, wo Christoph tot ist."Die Sache mit Christoph" ist 1978 das erste Mal erschienen, 2016 gab der dtv eine unveränderte Neuauflage mit neuem Cover heraus. Abgesehen von einigen kleinen Details, an denen man merkt, dass die Geschichte schon älter ist, wirkt sie aber immer noch aktuell.Es geht um Außenseiter. Um Leute, die versuchen sich zu behaupten, die nach außen die große Klappe haben, aber in Wirklichkeit mit sich selbst kämpfen.Auf spannende, manchmal rührende Weise lässt die 2013 verstorbene Autorin Irina Korschunow Martin darüber nachdenken, was eigentlich in seinem und Christophs Leben passiert und vielleicht falsch gelaufen ist.

Ich musste dieses Buch im neunten Schuljahr lesen. Man ahnte Schlimmes, waren die vorangegangen Bücher, die wir in der Schule lesen mussten, doch eher zäh und schwer lesbar gewesen. Doch dieses Buch war in der Hinsicht komplett anders. Irina Korschunow erzählt das Geschehen in einer ganz einfachen Sprache, der Roman liest sich sehr gut und flüssig. Außerdem konnte ich das Thema sehr gut nachvollziehen. Die Probleme, die man in der Familie, in der Schule oder auch mal mit seinen Freunden hat, macht bestimmt jeder Jugendliche einmal durch. Während ich diese Rezension hier schreibe, passiert vielleicht wieder ein ähnlicher Fall. Die Probleme, die Christoph hat, sind gut geschildert und werden glaubhaft vermittelt. Man kann sich gut in seine Situation hineinversetzen.Das einzige, was in diesem Buch schwach wirkt, ist der Spannungsbogen. Das ganze Buch über existiert fast nur aus Rückblenden und manchmal ist der Übergang in die Gegenwart nicht gut geglückt, sodass man beim ersten Durchlesen ein wenig den Überblick verlieren könnte und stellenweise nicht mehr weiß, wo genau man sich jetzt eigentlich befindet. Außerdem finde ich es schade, dass bis zum Ende nicht alle Fragen geklärt vollständig erklärt werden. Es werden lediglich auf die Hauptfigur bezogene Teilantworten gegeben, das Ende ist praktisch offen. Die geschilderten Zusammenhänge werden leider nicht komplett in ein logisches Bild verknüpft, was bei so einem Jugendroman sehr schade ist.

Ich hatte gestern das Buch in den Händen und habe überlegt, ob ich es kaufen oder nicht. Der Kauf hat sich gelohnt. Christoph und sein Freund Martin ticken etwas anders wie die übrigen Tenager. Zurecht wurde das Buch ausgezeichnet.

Ein Klassiker von Korschunow. Sie beschreibt gekonnt die Ängste, Zweifel und Freuden Jugendlicher. Vielleicht läuft für junge Leser/innen etwas wenig, aber die Gefühle in einer Krisensituation können sicher die meisten jungen Leute nachvollziehen. Auf alle Fälle ist das Buch ein Meisterwerk was die Behandlung des Themas «Selbstmord» (oder war es ein Unfall?) betrifft. Diskussionen über den Inhalt des Buches müssten natürlich stattfinden (entweder in der Schule oder mit Kollegen)!
